On August 23, the delivery of Dexiang Shanghai, one of the four 1096 Container Ship Series constructed by Japan's Xuyang Shipyard for Dexiang Maritime Transport, took place. This is the seventh self-owned ship of Dexiang Maritime Transport, while 36 ships will be operated.

With a total length of 142 meters and a width of 22.5 meters, Dexiang Shanghai will serve the Golden Route JTK2 of Dexiang Maritime Transport. The following three ships will be delivered in October this year and April and July next year.

In addition, the fifth and sixth 1800-container ships ordered by Dexiang Shipping to Taiwan Shipping Company will be delivered in Kaohsiung at the end of October and December of this year, respectively.

In response to the entry into force of IMO sulfur restriction order on January 1, 2020, Dexiang Shipping has signed a contract with Taiwan Shipping to install desulfurization towers on all six 1800 container ships, which were originally built by Taiwan Ships and have high specifications such as energy saving, environmental protection, low noise and excellent loading performance.

The third and fourth ships constructed by Japan Shiyang Shipyard for Dexiang Shipping will also be directly equipped with desulfurization towers. After the ship is delivered to Japan in July next year, Dexiang Shipping is expected to have 12 ships of its own. Dexiang Shipping will continue to order or purchase many container ships and increase the proportion of its own ships in the future.

On the Charter side, Dexiang Shipping has also chartered two new 1700 container ships, Lalit Bhum and Makha Bhum (which were delivered on the Yangtze River in June and August 2019 respectively), both equipped with desulfurization towers, which can significantly reduce sulfur emissions, and the use of the best economic speed will help to save fuel and serve Dexiang's Southeast Asian shipping routes.
